The 79th Geneva International Motor Show is a sell-out!
The automobile industry will be fully represented at the next Geneva International Motor Show in the spring of 2009. The organizers of the Show are delighted that all of the major automobile manufacturers will be exhibiting in spite of the alarming developments in the industry during the past few weeks. New for this year will be the special arrangement of Hall 3 to allow specialist exhibitors to present their latest developments in the area of electric and other alternative methods of propulsion. +

Geneva International Automobile Show: 35% of the visitors are planning to buy a new car
An opinion poll taken every 5 to 6 years has allowed us to determine that the public is very loyal to the Geneva International Motor Show and highly approves its infrastructure and organisation. The majority of the visitors come to see and learn about the new cars being launched, and to be entertained. 35% of them are planning to buy a new car. +

78th Geneva International Automobile Show: A Great Success !
The results from the 78th Geneva International Motor Show were extremely positive. The nearly 715,000 visitors far exceeded the organizers? goals and expectations. The Show received a very positive response from the media and enjoyed a heavy attendance by the general public, and the exhibitors were highly satisfied. The next edition is planned for the 5th through the 15th of March, 2009. +

78th Geneva International Automobile Show: A dazzling array of new models and great ideas!
By the end of the first weekend, the 2008 Geneva International Automobile Show had recorded nearly 300,000 visitors. Following the large influx of journalists from all over the world for the two press days, the Show was officially opened last Thursday by the President of the Swiss Confederation, Mr. Pascal Couchepin. The public has since arrived in large numbers and has shown great enthusiasm for this exceptional Show, which will remain open for another week until Sunday, March 16th. +

A non-smoking exhibition
The people of Geneva agreed to the popular initiative ?passive smoking and health? in the cantonal votes on February 24th, 2008. In doing so they expressed their opposition to smoking in interior or enclosed public spaces. The organisers of the Motor Show have lost no time in responding. The 78th Motor Show from 6 to 16 March 2008 will therefore be a non-smoking exhibition, although there will of course be smoking areas located outside. +

The 78th International Motor Show will be held from the 6th to 16th of March. Over 130 worldwide and European premieres have been announced, coming from every sector of the industry.
